GUANGZHOU CITY, China -- The organizers of GTI Asia China Expo report that this year's show will include a new VR & AR Zone to showcase the rapid development of this amusement attraction technology. The show is scheduled for the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex here from Sept. 10 through 12.
The show's planners predict that the greater bandwidth and reduced latency of fast-developing 5G broadband wireless technology, coupled with advances in artificial intelligence, will energize virtual reality and augmented reality equipment and enrich AR content of phones, while new opportunities for VR industry are also emerging. They note that IDC (International Data Corp.) predicts that the number of VR devices in the world will reach 78 million by 2021, while in China, the VR market value in 2019 will reach $3.3 billion, and the growth rate of AR and VR will reach 86.9%.
With these projections in mind, GTI Asia China Expo will feature a special VR and AR zone to provide a highly visible industry showplace for related companies worldwide. A great many leading products, new technologies and new business models will be unveiled at the show, speeding the integration of these cutting-edge technologies into entertainment life and highlighting the most entertaining applications for mixed-reality systems. This, in turn, will give exhibitors commercial value by means of a socially influential platform.
"Therefore, global buyers, industry insiders and media workers can enjoy the endless fun of these high-tech products at the expo, and see the new trends and future technological development," they concluded.
The show management added that, at present, dozens of VR and AR companies from South Korea and mainland China have already reserved exhibit space at the show.
