SEARCH TERMHUNTINGTON BEACH, CA -- Grow Healthy Vending sponsored and participated in the 23rd annual Kids Ocean Day here on June 2. The event is a project of the Malibu Foundation for Environmental Education and specializes in school outreach and coastal quality issues.

Kids Ocean Day brought more than 1,000 local elementary school students to the beach to participate in a cleanup and aerial art project. More than 680,000 California school children have participated in the program throughout its 23-year history, according to its organizers.

Grow Healthy Vending's staff volunteered alongside two local schools -- Peters Elementary in Garden Grove and James Madison in Anaheim. Other volunteers included The Orange County Coastkeeper, The California Coastal Commission and Disney employees among other individuals and teams.

Grow Healthy says its franchisees operate thousands of its machines across the U.S. and Canada in schools, universities, corporate offices, hospitals and YMCAs.
