Source: Incredible Technologies | Released Feb. 9, 2016x VERNON HILLS, IL -- February 9 -- Since last November, players from all over the country have been competing tirelessly on Golden Tee 2016 machines for the coveted Golden Tee World Championship title -- hoping for a shot at the $10,000 top prize. After 3 months of grueling and fierce competition, the field for the World Championship live event has been set.To qualify, players competed in the Daily Contest between Nov. 2 and Jan 15, 2016. The top 500 players each day were awarded points based on their rank. The point totals were used to determine the 30 players who will participate in the live Final event, alongside the Club Lucky tournament champion, and the Power Events player of the year.
These 32 highly skilled Golden Tee players will compete in head-to-head, double-elimination matches, live at the Amusement Expo this March. Prizes total nearly $60,000, with the first-place player bringing home a whopping $10,000. Operators are encouraged to stop by booth 623 during the show to watch all the action from some of the video sport's best players.
