VERNON HILLS, IL --Incredible Technologies announced that Golden Tee 2018, the latest update to the popular video golf game franchise, will begin shipping on Monday, Sept. 25. The software update will be available for thousands of commercial Golden Tee machine owners.
Amusement machine operators who own Golden Tee games can contact IT now to reserve the first shipments. Golden Tee dedicated Showpiece cabinets, complete kits and Showpiece transfer cabinets (which convert older CRT units) can be preordered, too. They will follow the first software shipments.
According to IT, Golden Tee 2018 not only continues the coin-op videogame franchise's proven formula of introducing new courses, adding consumables and enhancing customization, but it also offers time-released content throughout the year. Time-released content is expected to maximize earnings potential.
The 2018 update has five all-new virtual golf courses and a wide range of new features that will all be available at launch. In the months that follow, two additional courses will automatically unlock and appear on games. Other stored changes will add new features and revise existing courses.
"Golden Tee operators have been asking for extended content for years", said IT's amusement division vice-president Don Pesceone. "The 2018 update delivers everything players and owners have come to expect, with a full course and feature update that will appeal to players and boost earnings from the start. But we aren't stopping there. We will be introducing more courses and content nearly every month throughout 2018, keeping players interested and excited all year long. This could be a real game-changer."
Operators who preorder course updates for all of their online games will once again be automatically entered into IT's "AwesomeDraw" random drawing. Prizes include brand-new Showpiece games, full game kits and transfer cabinets, among other valuable prizes. AwesomeDraw prizes will be announced around Oct. 16.
