Golden Tee 2016 Ships With New Courses Menu And Money Shot Sept 28

VERNON HILLS, IL -- The latest update to Incredible Technologies' long-running videogame golf series will begin shipping on Sept. 28. Golden Tee 2016 features five new 18-hole courses, bringing the total number of virtual courses to 55. Volcano Palms, Hawthorne Manor, Antelope Pass (or the Badlands), Elk Ridge and Winding Pines are brand-new.

The robust course update includes more moneymaking game formats than ever before, according to the manufacturer. Joining Prize Play, Closest to the Pin and Daily Contest is Money Shot, described as a fast, easy skill-shot game that encourages repeat play by awarding hundreds of cash prizes daily. For the casual offline players, Closest to the Pin has been added for non-prize play. This fast-paced format adds a new twist to local play and multiplayer camaraderie in any location, IT said.

Golden Tee 2016 introduces an all-new menu system, which is designed to get players into the game more quickly and logically. Every update also ships with a new keypad that mounts to the back of IT's Showpiece videogame cabinet. The keypad enables players to check into their online player profiles without the need for "player" or credit cards.

"Our focus this year was to eliminate excuses for players not to play," said Don Pesceone, IT's sales vice-president and Golden Tee's project leader. "Giving players a variety of options for check-in and payment through both the game and the GT Caddy app, along with a myriad of game formats at different price-points and play lengths will get players off their barstools and over to the cabinet."

Operators who preorder course updates for all of their online games will be automatically entered into IT's "Awesome Draw," a random drawing for prizes. Rewards include brand-new Showpiece games, full kits and transfer cabinets. Awesome Draw prizes will be announced in mid-October.

Any Golden Tee 2016 update that is preordered before Sept. 20 will be guaranteed a spot in the first consignment; updates require no money down, and payments are spread out over a full year with no interest. Golden Tee 2016 for dedicated Showpiece cabinets and Showpiece transfer cabinets, which convert CRT legacy models, will follow shortly after the first updates ship, as will complete kits.
