The composite global coffee price has steadily declined since late May, according to the International Coffee Organization, which tracks daily prices.
The price has fallen from more than $200 in late May to $152.19 on Dec. 8. It has dropped from $155.99 since Dec. 1.
The weather and the strength of the U.S. dollar are factors influencing the decline, according to a 247wallst.com report.
The weather has been rainy in Brazil, a major coffee growing region, while the strength of the U.S. dollar against other currencies has incentivized producers to sell to the U.S. market.
