Free COVID-19 PCR test kits are now available at a kiosk outside the front entrance to the Lamar County Health Department in Barnesville, Georgia, according to a press release.

The self-service kiosk is one of 18 provided by the Georgia Department of Public Health to communities across the state.

After a person completes an online registration form, the kiosk dispenses a test kit that includes a nasal swab and instructions on collecting the specimen. Once the specimen is collected, it is packaged back into the kit and placed in the kiosk. The specimens are picked up daily and sent to an accredited lab for PCR testing.

Individuals can register online or when they arrive at the kiosk by using a mobile phone to scan the QR code on the front of the vending machine.
