SAN DIEGO, CA -- Generation Next Franchise Brands said it completed its first international licensing agreement for its frozen yogurt vending machine outside North America. Gen Next announced the deal last month with Israel's ItFroYo Group.
Generation Next debuted the Reis & Irvy's fro-yo vender in the U.S. and Canada in April 2016. Since then, the company, headquartered here, has reportedly established 175 franchisees across the U.S.
Under terms of the agreement, ItFroYo Group will serve as the exclusive licensee, distributor and operator of Reis & Irvy's machines in the Middle East and Israel for five years.
The agreement, which Generation Next says is worth $3.6 million, states that the Israeli company will purchase machines and the build brand awareness over the five-year term. Generation Next said it will provide ItFroYo with marketing, training, logistics and operations support.
ItFroYo founder Itamar Goldman said his first-year goal is to start a Reis & Irvy's footprint with 20 machines in the region.
