SAN DIEGO -- Generation Next Franchise Brands Inc. said it has secured an international licensing agreement within the territory of Australia for its Reis & Irvy's frozen yogurt vending machines. The agreement marks the company's fourth international deal and represents approximately $18 million in sales from a minimum of 500 of its machines being placed throughout the territory over the next five years.
The company said it will be licensing its Reis & Irvy's robotic frozen yogurt vending technology and franchise concept to Australian natives Troy and Michelle Bingham, who will become ambassadors for the brand and its expansion within the new market. Together, the couple has experience in international business development and global management consulting across the areas of franchising, tourism, modular housing, distribution channels, sporting organizations, customer loyalty, payment and incentive programs.
Late last year, Generation Next Franchise Brands launched its international licensing program for the Reis & Irvy's franchise concept. The model allows franchisees overseas to replicate the Reis & Irvy's model that the company pioneered in the U.S. in 2014, by securing an international market exclusively by purchasing either for resale or operation a minimum number of machines over a specified period of time.
Reis & Irv's vending machines dispense servings of frozen yogurt, ice cream and sorbet, topped with six delicious toppings in less than 60 seconds.
Generation Next has teamed up with Dannon YoCream to supply Reis & Irvy's product, Stoelting Food Service, which created the first soft-serve machine for Dairy Queen, as an equipment partner, and Pitney Bowes, which will provide the installation and national servicing. All of these partners will make themselves available in Australia and will offer the same assortment of services to new licensees.
In other news, Generation Next will showcase its Reis & Irvy's machine at the upcoming National Restaurant Association trade show, May 19-22 at Chicago's McCormick Place in Booth #8834.
