General Mills Inc. plans a $37 million expansion to its Cedar Rapids, Iowa, facility which produces fruit snacks, cereal and frosting, marking the second expansion for the site, according to a KHAK report.

The company added 41 jobs at the facility six years ago after the most recent $60 million expansion, which converted a warehouse into a manufacturing space.

Iowa Economic Development approved the expansion in August, according to the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance.
