General Mills breaks ground on $1.3 M Illinois facility

General Mills Inc. has begun construction of a $1.3 million warehouse and distribution center in Belvidere, Illinois, a project nearly two years in the making, according to a Rockford Register Star report.

The facility will employ 55 to 75 full-time employees and will open in the fall of 2023.

Scannell Properties, which owns the 160 acres and is leasing 110 acres to General Mills, is developing the site.
