Geia Food acquires Topfoods

Geia Food, a Denmark based foodservice manufacturer owned by London based private-equity firm Triton Partners, has acquired Topfoods, a Finland based foodservice manufacturer, for an undisclosed sum, according to a press release.

Topfoods has annual sales of approximately 30 million euros ($32.1 million) and employs a total of 15 employees. The company was established in 2008 to serve Finnish foodservice and industrial and retail customers.

The company's founders, Janne Rantala and Juha Mäkelä, will continue as partners in the new structure where they will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the company.
