Florida State University students are turning a traditional snack vending machine into a unique art vending machine, thanks to a partnership with the Thomasville Center for the Arts, according to a Florida State University News report.

The Seminole Innovators student organization is working on repurposing the machine to dispense miniature works of art, including paintings, sculptures and prints.

"We're not just restoring it; we're reinventing it," Rob Duarte, an associate professor at FSU's Department of Art, told the news outlet.

The project combines engineering, computer science, design and art, offering students hands-on experience and a chance to apply their skills in a creative way. The vending machine will travel to various locations in Thomasville, Georgia, showcasing local and student-made art.

The initiative aims to make art more accessible and tangible, providing a novel way to engage with the community.
