Frito-Lay to invest $100M in fulfillment center in New York town

Frito-Lay Inc., a division of PepsiCo Inc., has acquired land in East Fishkill, New York and will invest $100 million in a 150,000-square-foot fulfillment center, creating 80 construction jobs, according to a press release.

Construction will begin in 2022.

The center will utilize technologies to customize orders for Frito-Lay branded snacks.

The project marks the company's first presence in East Fishkill.

The facility will operate 24 hours a day, six days per week, receiving snack food product from affiliate-owned manufacturing facilities located in Kirkwood, New York; Killingly, Connecticut; Perry, Georgia and Aberdeen, Maryland.

Products will be distributed from the fulfillment center to the New York metro market.
