Free-play arcade opens in Garland, Texas

Side Quest Arcade is now open in Garland, Texas, just northeast of Dallas. The arcade features a lineup of machines including traditional pinball games and claw machines, according to a Culture Map Dallas report.
Side Quest has more than 200 free-play classic and modern arcade games, plus traditional claw machines that dispense toys.
"We felt that the ability to win prizes was something missing from the flat play model," Side Quest co-Founder Micah Kirkpatrick told the news outlet. "They add an element of thrill and excitement that complements the arcade experience perfectly."
Designed as a free play arcade, Side Quest has each machine set to free-play mode. Customers simply pay $10 for unlimited gaming all day.
