EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -- The organizers of Foundations Entertainment University report that plans are underway for the institution's 2016 program. This calls for presentations of FEU in Chicago, June 14-16, and Phoenix, Oct. 18-20. The plan also calls for a third presentation at a date and place to be announced. Once again, Birthday University, a seminar on planning and implementing profitable special-event catering services, will follow the Foundations program.

The FEU administration and faculty report that their 2015 courses in profitable entertainment center management came to a rousing conclusion. Held in Dallas, Oct. 14-16, the 37th successive course drew entertainment professionals from eight states, Brazil and the UK.

Among graduates of the final 2015 presentation are Jerry Johnston, Amusement Unlimited (Eugene, OR), and Kelly Bednar, director of education for the Bowling Proprietors Association of America (Arlington, TX). They enrolled in FEU in order to widen their industry knowledge and to evaluate Foundations for possible future participation in their associations' educational programming.

"This is a great business course," Johnston said. "I would highly recommend Foundations for new ventures or for those upgrading or expanding their current operations. More game operators need to attend to gain the knowledge so they can easily expand their businesses."

Foundations is a two-and-half-day, two-evening course based on 200 years' combined experience and expertise amassed by seven of the industry's top consultants and operators. The faculty presents in-depth instruction to entrepreneurs exploring the family entertainment center business -- individuals and companies in the planning, designing and building stage -- as well as existing operators and businesses looking to expand their current entertainment industry operations.

The faculty includes Randy White, chief executive of White Hutchinson Leisure & Learning; Frank Seninsky, chief executive of Alpha-Omega Amusements and Amusement Entertainment Management; Jerry Merola, chief financial officer of Alpha-Omega Amusements and managing partner of AEM; Peter F. Olesen, president of Entertainment Concepts Inc.; Frank Price, president of FL Price/Birthday University; and Kevin Williams, chief executive of KWP Ltd.

"I have attended multiple conferences since entering the entertainment business," said Keith Daniels, one of the four registrants from Rigby's Entertainment Complex (Warner Robins, GA). "I found Foundations to be the most informative and influential conference, to date."

Another Rigby's student, Gracie Preston, added, "I am a millennial. The presenters of Foundations reinforced my generation's driving factors of choice with credibility, data, maturity and professionalism."

"Our students are very serious about the industry," Seninsky applauded. "Seeing more existing FECs and bowling centers attending Foundations validates that even veterans can improve their business and realize that they need to learn how new industry players are continually raising the bar."
