Food Express acquires 2 South Carolina companies

Food Express, a breakroom services provider, has acquired two Columbia, South Carolina-based companies: Food Service Solutions and Snacktime. The two companies are affiliates of GlobalConnect and their acquisition is part of Food Express' strategic growth plan in the Southeast, according to a press release.

"These acquisitions underscore our commitment to thoughtful, strategic growth in markets where we can create immediate value for clients," Matt Kilpatrick, president of Food Express, said in the release.

The acquisition marks the third for Food Express in the last year, following the purchase of Snackworks in Bradenton, Florida. In conjunction with the acquisitions, the company has hired Gaye Tankersley as director of operations for its South Carolina locations.
