Flowers Foods promotes Heeth Varnedoe to chief transformation officer

Flowers Foods Inc., which owns Mrs.Freshly's, Tastykake and other bakery brands, has promoted Heeth Varnedoe from senior vice president of DSD regions/sales to chief transformation officer, a new role at the company, effective Jan. 4, 2021.

Varnedoe will oversee the implementation of cross-functional initiatives that advance Flowers' long-term strategic plans.

Varnedoe joined Flowers Foods in 1990, holding a number of management positions, including president of the company's bakery in Jacksonville, Florida, vice president of national accounts and president of the company's Phoenix, Arizona bakery in addition to his current role.
