Flowers Foods names David Roach chief strategic projects officer

Flowers Foods Inc., which owns Tastykake, Mrs. Freshley's and other brands, has promoted David Roach from president of cake operations to chief strategic projects officer, effective immediately, according to a press release. He will continue to report to Brad Alexander, chief operating officer.

Tom Winters, Flowers' chief supply chain officer, is now responsible for overseeing cake operations.
