Flowers Foods completes acquisition of Papa Pita Bakery

Flowers Foods Inc., which owns the Mrs. Freshley's, Tastykake, Nature's Own and other consumer brands, has completed the previously announced acquisition of Papa Pita Bakery, a manufacturer and distributor of bagels, tortillas, breads, buns, English muffins and flat breads, according to a press release.

Papa Pita Bakery will operate as an independent subsidiary of Flowers and will continue to operate in its West Jordan, Utah facility.
