Florida restaurant serves late hot meals with vending machine

The Office Bar SRO, a Sarasota, Florida restaurant, offers late night meals thanks to a recently installed vending machine that heats precooked meals, according to a Sarasota Magazine report.

The machine, called Smart Bistro, allows guests to select a meal from pictures on a touchscreen, including White Castle cheeseburgers, pretzel dogs and mojo pork with rice and beans. Most offerings are heated and ready within a minute.

The machine, which accepts credit cards and is restocked daily, was displayed at the spring National Automatic Merchandising Association show in Chicago.
