Five Star Food Service acquires Elite Vending in Atlanta

Five Star Food Service Inc., a Canteen franchise based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, has acquired Elite Vending Co., an Atlanta-based operation that services Fulton, Cobb, Douglas and Clayton counties in Georgia, for an undisclosed sum, according to a press release.

The acquisition adds to the company's existing base of business in the Atlanta region.

In 2015, Five Star acquired routes from Elite that, at the time, were based in competing geographic areas.

Elite Vending Co. was founded by Josh Matthews in 2002. Matthews had worked as an operations manager for Eagle Vending, now Five Star Food Service, for nearly a decade.
