Five Star Breaktime Solutions has acquired PB&J Vending, a Metro Atlanta-based refreshment services provider, according to a press release. The move aims to strengthen Five Star's presence in the region.

PB&J Vending was founded in 2006 by James Baker, who previously worked in automotive retail. Baker started the company after experiencing service issues with vending machines at his dealership and deciding to self-operate them. Over nearly two decades, PB&J Vending expanded to offer office coffee, water service, micro markets and pantry solutions, serving nearly 100 customers across Atlanta under the leadership of James and his wife Terri.

"We are honored that James and Terri chose Five Star to carry forward their legacy," Pat Barger, Five Star's director of mergers and acquisitions, said in the release. "Their customer-first approach aligns perfectly with our values, and we're excited to build upon the strong foundation they've created."

Five Star Breaktime Solutions, headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, offers a range of services including micro markets with exclusive promotions and a mobile app, vending, office coffee, pantry services, catering and filtered water.

Five Star Breaktime Solutions, founded in 1993, operates in 11 states across the Southeast and is the largest franchise of Canteen, a Compass Group company.
