Farmer's Fridge adds steak salad to vending machine menu

Farmer's Fridge, a company known for smart vending machines dispensing fresh meals in locations such as airports and hospitals, has expanded its offerings to include steak.

The Chicago-based company introduced a Steakhouse Chopped Salad nationwide earlier this month, according to a press release.

The steak salad, which includes roasted potatoes, crispy onions, shaved parmesan and Caesar dressing along with steak, is vended in under 30 seconds. Farmer's Fridge has priced the item at approximately $13.

The company positions the steak salad as an affordable option for a chef-curated meal amidst rising fine dining prices.
