Farmer Brothers opens California warehouse

Farmer Bros. Co., a national coffee roaster, wholesaler and distributor of coffee, tea and culinary products, has opened a 156,600-square-foot distribution center in Rialto, California, according to a press release.

The facility marks the company's last major supply chain optimization initiative as part of its broader turnaround strategy, which includes the closing the Houston, Texas manufacturing facility and capacity enhancements made to the Dallas-Fort Worth facility.

The facility is also designed to mitigate future capital expenditure requirements for customer equipment with its coffee brewing equipment refurbishing center.

The West Coast facility has 18 docking doors and 26 trailer storage spaces.
