Evoca teams with Macas to serve Asian coffee machine market

Evoca SpA, a coffee machine manufacturer based in Bergamo, Italy and Guangzhou Macas Electronic Technology Co. Ltd., a China based coffee machine manufacturer, have agreed to form a joint venture to provide coffee vending machines in Asia, according to a press release. The transaction is expected to close during Q2 2021.
Evoca, which focuses on bean-to-cup espresso coffee, serves more than 140 countries, with subsidiaries throughout Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia.
"Evoca and its well-known brands (including Saeco, Gaggia Milano and Necta) have been present in the Asian market for well over 20 years," Andrea Zocchi, Evoca CEO, said in the press release. "We think the time is right to establish an operating platform in China to provide a faster response to market needs and to promote research and product development that is specific to this region."
