EU launches antitrust investigation of Coca-Cola

The European Union has launched an antitrust investigation into the Coca-Cola Co., according to a Reuters report.

An EU spokesperson confirmed the investigation but would not comment further.

The Coca-Cola Co. confirmed the EU's request for information but declined to comment.

EuroCommerce, an organization that includes retailers such as Tesco, Carrefour and Ikea, said the sales practices of multinational brands have concerned retailers and wholesalers.
