ORLANDO, FL -- Military Mascots plush toys, plus custom cranes and photostrips, will make their industry debut at the 2019 International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions Expo. The Attractions Expo exhibit is scheduled for Nov. 18 through 21 at the Orange County Convention Center here.
Military Mascots are a charitable product line of the United States Veterans Chamber of Commerce (USVCC), a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The toys, which were designed by a disabled veteran, commemorate the five uniformed services that make up the United States Armed Forces: the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard.
Proceeds from the sale of Military Mascots products are donated to support transitioning wounded military, veterans and their families reintegrating into civilian life though the U.S. Department of Defense transitioning programs. Approximately 30,000 wounded, ill and injured service members transition annually.
The Military Mascots program also supports the Department of Defense's Warrior Games and Invictus Games, which enable wounded, ill and injured military to leverage the power of sports to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation, and general a wider understanding and respect for the sacrifice of the men and women of the U.S. Military.
On Nov. 20, military athletes of the U.S. Invictus Team will be present at the Goffa Toys' booth #2606 and Elaut Group's booth #1024 from 12 noon to 3 p.m., to say hello and take pictures with IAAPA event participants, using Benchmark Games' new photobooth. Invictus team members in attendance will include U.S. Marine Corps gunnery sergeant Douglas Godfrey Jr.; U.S. Navy MA3 Nathan DeWalt and chief petty officer Sharona Young; and Sua Tui, U.S. Special Operations Command. USSOC was established by an Act of Congress in 1987 to ensure unity of command when the special operations components of the armed forces are tasked with cooperative missions.
The team members' visits will be highlighted by the University of Central Florida Color Guard, which will lead the pledge of allegiance in the Elaut Group booth at 1 p.m. and the Goffa Toys booth at 2 p.m. The Military Mascot crane and plush toys will be on display at both booth locations.
The United States Veterans Chamber of Commerce holistically enriches the lives of transitioning military, veterans, veteran-designated businesses, and their families across a wide spectrum of needs through its five pillars of support: Employment, Business, Education, Wellness, and Family. USVCC is comprised of 37 independent state chambers (and counting), more than 100,00 veteran-designated businesses and, 2.5 million veterans, as well as more than 300 Fortune "5000" companies.
