Danny Sterling, who launched a Richmond, Virginia area vending business in 2020 that expanded into meal delivery, has decided to close shop on account of economic factors, according to a Richmondbizsense.com report.

Sterling, who started the business called ELYA (eat like your ancestors), after plans for a restaurant were interrupted first by cancer, which he overcame, then by the pandemic, said rising food prices is among the factors that caused him to quit and sell off all of his refrigerated vending machines.

Another factor was not being able to find a larger operating facility.

He plans to seek new opportunities.
