Dutch bottler to acquire 3 US Coca-Cola production facilities

Refresco, an independent bottler based in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, has agreed to acquire three of the Coca-Cola Co.'s U.S. production locations and become a third party Coca-Cola contract manufacturer, according to a press release. Terms of the transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, were not revealed.

"I am convinced that our retail and A-brand customers across North America will be able to benefit from our extended capabilities and broadened geographical footprint." Brad Goist, COO of Refresco North America, said in the press release.

The transaction includes facilities in Truesdale, Missouri, Waco, Texas and Paw Paw, Michigan, and involves long-term agreements for contract manufacturing.

All three hotfill production locations are complementary to Refresco North America's current manufacturing footprint.
