A man in Belleville, Ontario who installed vending machines in his driveway has landed a zoning fight with the city, along with a cadre of supporters who believe he is providing a service, according to a Belleville Intelligencer report.

The city recently advised Juan Hernandez that he needs to dismantle a wooden shelter he built and remove his seven vending machines as it violates local zoning laws.

Officials also said he needs to file a rezoning application to get permission for a commercial operation.

Some of Hernandez's customers said they rely on the vending machines for food.

Area residents have posted support for Hernandez on Facebook, although some have said there are people in the area who don't want such activity.
