Dr Pepper Snapple Group Names Lain Hancock Bai Brands Chief

PLANO, TX -- Lain Hancock has joined Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. as chief executive for Bai Brands. He will assume leadership from Bai founder Ben Weiss, who has left the business.

Hancock was previously executive vice-president of human resources at DPS. He has also held leadership positions with the company's supply chain organization. He joined DPS in 2007 after serving as a consultant at McKinsey & Co. He was an aviation branch officer in the U.S. Army before entering the beverage industry.

The Bai Brands line of five-calorie super-fruit drinks is sweetened with stevia leaf extract.
