Danone to close yogurt plant in Spain

Danone S.A., a Paris-based global provider of dairy and plant-based products, waters and nutrition, will close its yogurt factory in Parets del Vallès, Spain, north of Barcelona, to improve its efficiencies, according to a European Food Agency report.

The closure is expected to impact 157 workers.

The group invested about €12 million ($13.14 million) in 2021 in the site to produce Alpro yogurt from coconut and oats.
