Danone announces leadership changes

Danone has announced several leadership changes, according to a press release.

The company has appointed three group deputy CEOs, aiming to better connect categories and regions reporting to Danone CEO Antoine de Saint-Affrique, according to a press release.

  • Véronique Penchienati-Bosetta, currently CEO international, has been named group deputy CEO, CEO international and EVP for specialized nutrition, waters, global marketing and digital.
  • Shane Grant, current CEO of North America, has been named group deputy CEO, CEO Americas and EVP dairy, plant-based and global sales.
  • Juergen Esser, current chief financial, technology and data officer, has been named group deputy CEO in charge of finance, technology and data.

The company also named Pablo Perversi as Europe zone president, replacing Floris Wesseling and reporting to Véronique Penchienati-Bosetta. Perversi previously held the positions of chief innovation, sustainability and quality officer at Barry Callebaut and vice president of foods for Europe at Unilever Europe.

Nigyar Makhmudova, EVP and chief growth officer, and Floris Wesseling, Europe zone president, have decided to leave the company to pursue other interests.
