Dallas Area Rapid Transit rolls out vending machines

Dallas Area Rapid Transit is introducing touchscreen ticket vending machines to allow customers to purchase tickets. With the machines, customers can buy day passes, three-hour passes, reload their GoPass app or check their GoPass balance and transaction history, according to a report by Star Local Media.
The machines will support 11 languages and multiple payment options including cash, card and mobile wallets. If they can't provide change for cash, they will print out vouchers with QR codes that can be used at vending machines.
"DART's new ticket vending machines make it easier for customers to pay — they're designed to support multiple payment methods, connect to the GoPass app, dispense Tap cards and operate in 11 different languages," Jamie Adelman, executive vice president and chief financial officer, DART, said in the report.
