Cyngn has deployed its DriveMod Tugger at G&J Pepsi, the largest independent Pepsi bottler in the United States, expanding its autonomous vehicle technology into beverage warehousing and distribution, according to a press release.

The collaboration follows G&J Pepsi's recent 77,000-square-foot warehouse expansion and aims to automate material handling operations, addressing labor shortages and improving productivity.

"By integrating DriveMod into our processes, we're positioning our business to meet the growing demands of tomorrow," Jeff Erwin, vice president of manufacturing and quality at G&J Pepsi, said in the release.

The DriveMod Tugger can haul up to 12,000 pounds and is designed for both indoor and outdoor industrial use. Cyngn said the system can typically deliver a payback period of less than two years.

Founded in 1925, G&J Pepsi serves customers across Ohio and Kentucky with a portfolio of more than 650 products. The deployment marks a milestone in applying autonomous technology to beverage logistics and large-scale warehousing.
