Culligan to acquire ‘significant portion’ of Primo Water for $575M

Culligan International has agreed to acquire a "significant portion" of Primo Water Corp., a provider of sustainable drinking water solutions in North America and Europe, in an all-cash transaction valued at up to $575 million, according to a press release. The transaction is part of Primo Water's plan to exit all of its international businesses and excludes the Aimia Foods, United Kingdom, Portugal and Israel businesses, although each of these will be sold in 2024.

The transaction is expected to close by Dec. 31, 2023, subject to regulatory approvals and the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
