MALVERN, PA -- Crane Payment Innovations, a Crane Co. company, will showcase the new, all-in-one Alio Note ePayment terminal, along with its new connectivity-enabled Talos bill validator and Gryphon coin changer at the National Automatic Merchandising Association's NAMA Show. The show runs April 24 to 26 at the Las Vegas (NV) Convention Center, and Crane is exhibiting in booth 1116.
The Alio Note is the most recent combined credit payment and cash acceptance terminal by CPI, designed exclusively for vending operators.
"Cashless implementation can be a daunting process and investment for operators," said Patrick Richards, CPI product manager -- electronic payments. "By combining several elements of cashless technology -- the reader, the antenna and the telemeter -- into a single piece of equipment, not only are we cutting costs for operators, but we're also cutting down on installation time."
The new product offering improves upon existing cashless technology by introducing a range of features:
>> Acceptance of contact and contactless EMV cards, as well as cash when paired with a note validation system
>>Wide range, full color display for customizable static graphics, images, animations, and digital advertising
>> Touch keys and intuitive user interface for easy payment 4G LTE ready with built-in antenna to eliminate the need to drill for an external antenna and simplify the installation process
>> Mobile connectivity and built-in PayRange for mobile payment, beaconing, DEX, and driver/service technician interaction
>> Maximum uptime with patented anti-intrusion technology to prevent the insertion of coins and other debris
By pairing the Talos bill validator and Gryphon coin changer with the CPI Synq mobile connectivity module, customers can use the Simplifi mobile app to quickly and easily access real-time data, alerts, diagnostics and troubleshooting. This suite of products is designed to decrease service costs and time and reduce routine machine maintenance.
"Most repeat machine service calls are the result of a hardware issue not being resolved correctly the first time," said Crane Payment Innovations product manager Bob Martin. "By simply installing the Synq cable in the machine, along with the new payment devices, operators can more accurately identify problems, eliminating the need for follow-up service calls and costs."
The new product offering improves upon existing cash hardware technology with a range of new features:
>> Embedded sensors for mobile connectivity
>> Real-time payment hardware alerts and service advisories
>> Diagnostics and step-by-step troubleshooting for on-site repairs
>> USB connection for easy data collection and firmware updates
>> Improved speed for faster throughput
>> Tighter security to protect against all known frauds
