Costa X teams with Caffitaly on coffee pod machines

Costa X, a hospitality division of Costa Coffee, has teamed with Italy-based coffee equipment maker Caffitaly to introduce coffee pod machines tailored for hotels, workplaces and leisure businesses, according to a press release.

Launched at HostMilano, the new Podio range uses Caffitaly's "Flexicup" pod system to ensure optimal extraction and aroma using a double filtration method.

Alongside espresso extraction, the Podio range also delivers filter-coffee and non-coffee drinks, including hot chocolate. The range includes three models with different specifications to cater to individual business's needs.

The machines use telemetry to provide real-time insights and smart prompts from the Costa X Cloud.

The Podio X2 model, in partnership with Lattiz, specialists in milk foaming, has a zero-contact design solution.
