Orange juice sales continue to soar as consumers seek to improve their immunity to COVID-19, according to a Bloomberg report.

Orange juice futures traded in New York jumped 27% in 2020, while U.S. retail sales in the four-week period ending April 11 jumped 46% from the prior year earlier to 44 million gallons, according to Nielsen.

Consumers are seeking citrus for its vitamin C content.

The jump in demand reverses the decades-long trend of decline as consumers shunned sugary beverages.
