Connolly Joins ConAgra Foods Succeeds Rodkin As CEO In April

OMAHA, NE -- ConAgra Foods has named Sean M. Connolly chief executive. The appointment becomes effective on April 6, 2015, when current ConAgra chief executive Gary M. Rodkin is scheduled to retire.

Connolly comes to ConAgra from Hillshire Brands (Chicago), where he served as chief executive and, during his tenure in that post, oversaw the former Sara Lee unit's merger into Tyson Foods (Springdale, AR) in August.

ConAgra Foods Inc. is one of the largest packaged food companies, and the largest private-brand packaged food business, in North America.
