Connecticut Vending Operator Daniel Tomassetti Dies At 62

Tomassetti was vice-president of Tomassetti Distributors, a full-line vending company headquartered in Meriden. He ran the business with his brother, Tony. Daniel was also a longtime member of the Connecticut Vending Association.

The second-generation company was founded more than 70 years ago by Daniel and Tony's father, Alfred Tomassetti. It began as a beverage bottler and distributor. The company's official name was Canada Dry Bottling Co. of Meriden Inc., but it was familiarly known as Tomassetti Distributors.

In 2014, the Tomassetis sold their beverage distribution business to Orange, CT-based Northeast Beverage Corp. They retained their vending machine business. | See story in My Record Journal

Daniel Tomassetti is survived by his wife Cheryl, daughters Nicole and Meghan, son Kevin and his wife Jillian, and a grandchild, Brayden, along with his brother Tony Tomassetti.
