Condom Vending Machine Explosion Proves Fatal To Young Thief

MÜNSTER, Germany -- A 29-year-old man from Münster, Germany, was killed when he and two friends attempted to blow up a condom vender here.

According to local authorities the victim was struck by a shard of metal after trying to destroy the machine with a homemade explosive device on Christmas Day. Rushed to a nearby hospital by his two accomplices, the man died of head wounds.

It is not clear whether the triad were attempting to rob or simply vandalize the Condomat vender. Police investigating the crime scene discovered condoms and cash scattered on the nearby roadway. The two survivors of the incident were arrested by local authorities and released.
