Compass Group to acquire UK hospitality firm CH&CO for $600M

Compass Group PLC, the U.K.-based caterer that owns Compass Group North America and Canteen Vending Services, has agreed to acquire CH&CO, a provider of contract and hospitality services in the U.K. and Ireland for an initial enterprise value of £475 million ($600 million), according to a press release.

CH&CO generates annual revenues of £450 million ($570 million) and operates across a range of sectors, including business and industry, sports and leisure, education and healthcare.

"We're delighted that Compass wants to acquire CH&CO," Bill Toner, CEO of CH&CO, said in the press release. "The prospect of joining a leading global provider of food services offers huge potential for us and our clients."
