Compass Group lays off 230 Northwestern dining employees

Compass Group has laid off about 230 Northwestern University dining employees who have been furlouged since March, according to a report in The Daily Northwestern.

The employees will retain their health benefits until Sept. 20 or as determined by an individual collective bargaining agreement. Social distancing measures, density requirements and federal and state guidance are among the complications the company cited that will impact the on-campus population.
