Compass Group to introduce self-order kiosks and mobile ordering

Compass Group PLC customers will be able to use self-order kiosks, mobile ordering and menu display systems, thanks to the company's acquisition in September of SmartQ, an India based company that provides automated billing kiosks, centralized billing, near field communication enabled prepaid cards and POS software, according to a moneycontrol.com report.

The cloud-controlled menu display systems will support social distancing in workplaces.

The company has started deploying these solutions and will soon be offering it to client sites in other countries including the U.K. and New Zealand, with plans to offer it in the U.S., Japan, and Singapore by year's end.
