Compass Group Canada to test autonomous, self-serve robotic kitchens

Compass Group Canada has teamed with SJW Robotics to pilot three 24/7 autonomous, self-serve kitchen robots named RoWok, according to a press release.

RoWok is designed to serve spaces that traditionally do not have an available footprint for an on-site kitchen or kitchen staff available 24/7, while also providing a hot and fresh food alternative throughout the day.

The machine works with foodservice associates on site who are required to prep, stock and monitor product and service.
