Columbus brewery offers cake vending machine

Seventh Son Brewing, a Columbus, Ohio brewery, now features a cake vending machine offering half-pound slices of cake, according to a Columbus Monthly report. The machine is operated by baker Kate Djupe, who brings extensive foodservice experience.

Djupe, according to her LinkedIn page, held management positions at Warren, Ohio based AVI Foodsystems and Sodexo. She also operated a commercial kitchen and incubator in Columbus called Commissary and most recently served as head baker at Granville Bread Co.

Cake flavors include popcorn with salted caramel buttercream, dark chocolate, pumpkin and carrot.
