Loveland Laser Tag, a 5,700-square-foot family entertainment center in Loveland, Colorado, has implemented self-service redemption kiosks that provide a gift redemption process for customers and the venue, according to a press release. The Klaimprize kiosks were provided by Semnox Solutions LLC, a provider of venue management technology for the entertainment and amusement industry.

With the unprecedented market conditions following the COVID-19 pandemic, Loveland Laser Tag sought to reduce operation overhead while finding ways to encourage social distancing.

"The old method of our redemption counter was as we see probably at most FECs, where we have a couple of redemption stations, and kids will crowd around picking up prizes, etc." Jeff Willy, owner, Loveland Laser Tag, said in the release. "In our facility we do not have the space to do a retail-style layout for a redemption counter. So, we wanted to find a way to improve the redemption experience.

"We added two of Semnox's Klaimprize kiosks and now customers can go up and choose their own redemption prices. This has cut down on our staffing cost because on slow days we don't actually have to staff the redemption counter."

The customer taps his card when prompted, and based on the available tickets he is shown products that fall within the price of the tickets available for redemption. The customer then selects products and confirms the order. A receipt is generated and sent to the redemption counter where the customer redeems his gifts.
