DEERFIELD, IL -- Mondelez International has appointed Glen Walter executive vice-president and president for its North America business.
Walter, 49, will lead the company's $7 billion business in the U.S. and Canada, which includes Oreo cookies and Trident gum.
He joins Mondelez International from Coca-Cola Co., where he held a variety of leadership positions over the past decade, including chief executive of Coca-Cola Industries China and president and chief operating officer for Coca-Cola North America. Prior to Coca-Cola, Walter was president of InBevUSA.
Walter succeeds Tim Cofer, who stepped into the North American leadership role on an interim basis in April. Cofer will now return to his responsibilities as chief growth officer.
